My husband's business partner and good friend, Darryl, made a deal through his friend Dale in the
summer of 2000 to buy a warehouse full of old gear and used instruments from the band Genesis. Darryl
and my husband, Gil, went to Fisher Lane Farm
Studio in England to sort and store the gear in
June of 2000 for the purpose of selling it all on eBay. You can see the pictures they took during that trip
here.
Then, the following July, I got to go along with Darryl and Gil after the auctions at eBay had ended to help ship the gear to the new owners all over the world.
The great people at Rock-It Cargo made our job as easy as they possibly could. They stored all the Genesis gear,
handled all the shipping of the items won by bidders in the United Kingdom and across Europe, then put all the gear that was bought by
American and Canadian bidders with everything that didn't sell for one reason or another into a big sea container for shipping to where we live
in the States for distribution. They had us all working very hard, which was great because it meant we had time left for plenty of sightseeing.
